Abstract
The aim of the study is to identify the specifics of the linguistic personalities of the authors of folk military memoirs. The article defines the terminological apparatus of the study (considers the notions “natural written speech”, “linguistic personality”, “text”), analyses the original memoir handwritten (natural) texts of ordinary native speakers who participated in the war. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that an algorithm has been developed for analysing the texts of military memoirs, which, in turn, are new research material that has a form of a natural written language. As a result, five oppositions of textual characteristics were identified, on the basis of which an analysis of the linguistic features of the written memoirs of two participants of the Great Patriotic War was conducted; two types of authors of folk military memoirs were described, each of the authors was assigned a special nomination.
