Abstract

The scale and structure of mortality of the working-age population from causes caused by behavioral risk factors are discussed, among which are: violence, alcohol and drugs, risky sexual behavior. Objects of research: Tyumen region (without autonomous entities) against the background of the Ural Federal District and Russia. Information base — data of the official state mortality statistics for 2011–2020. The specifics of the Tyumen Region have been established, indicating the shortcomings of the policy of controlling controlled factors and significant reserves for reducing avoidable losses. The problem area is a significantly higher mortality from HIV and an underestimation of alcohol-related mortality due to mental disorders and cardiovascular pathology.
