Abstract
In connection with the transition of the Crimean Peninsula to water supply at the expense of its own natural sources, there is a formation of water-deficit conditions in significant territories. The current situation with water scarcity of the territory has a negative impact on all sectors of the national economy. In the current situation, the problem of increasing water availability should be considered comprehensively, taking into account the rational use of water resources and water bodies with the possibility of parallel restoration of disturbed territories. The use of reclaimed storage ponds on local runoff can be a step towards improving the existing water supply system for water-deficient areas.
