Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of state and regional investment in the development of the competitiveness of the hospitality industry, taking into account the infrastructural aspect. The development of a competitive environment and the availability of infrastructural capabilities is a priority task for the successful development of any industry or sector. That is why the primary problem that needs to be solved is the determination of state and regional investment in the development of a competitive hospitality industry. It has been established that when assessing national competitiveness, many economists associate this concept with the achievement of the main macroeconomic goals, where the equivalents of public investment are: national welfare; high standard of living of citizens compared to other states; raising the standard of living of the population; fair distribution of national wealth; availability of jobs, etc. It has been proven that in the long run the parameters of competitiveness are related to the concept of economic success. Each industry, including the hospitality industry, has its own rules of competition and its own hierarchy of factors that most or least contribute to establishing a competitive position, including in regional distribution. On the other hand, the hospitality industry has certain advantages due to key competencies that it possesses in this particular region that its competitors do not (eg: consumers, brand, license, cost structure, etc.). The article defines the specifics and features of the competitiveness of the hospitality industry, as well as aspects of its infrastructural support. In the process of research, we established that the infrastructure aspects of state and regional investment in the development of the competitiveness of the hospitality industry are based on two subconcepts: comparative competitive advantage and the theory of competitive advantages. The external and internal factors of state and regional investment in the development of the competitiveness of the hospitality industry are analyzed. Based on the analysis of external and internal factors of state and regional investment in the development of the competitiveness of the hospitality industry, their grouping was carried out by categories: innovations, services, human resources and costs.
