Abstract

The peculiarities of modern reconnaissance and combat force us to take a particularly responsible approach to ways to protect information and prevent the enemy from gaining access to it, since the side that has it receives a strategic advantage. The article provides a rationale for the historically increasing need for the use of electronic warfare. Examples of the use of electronic warfare are given and the economic benefits of their use are substantiated. The possibilities of countering their modern high-tech weapons are analyzed. The economic advantages of electronic warfare systems in a combat situation are substantiated using a comparative analysis with conservative systems for countering modern types of weapons. Indirect benefits and avoidance of economic losses obtained through preventive influence on a possible enemy are also considered. The conclusion is drawn about the economic necessity of developing electronic warfare systems as both a weapon and a means of combating it.
