Abstract
Any text as a discourse can reflect a fragment of the surrounding reality. A political text reflects politics peculiarities and demonstrates speech behavior of a politician. On the example of the Appeal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the citizens of Russia before the elections, a linguistic analysis of the political text as a means of representation of na-tional linguistic picture of the world was carried out.
