Abstract

The study aims to develop criteria of structure-oriented translation of Tomsk realionyms into German and English. Scientific novelty of the research lies in implementing the structural-systemic approach to conduct a morphological analysis of realionyms’ components, to develop a criterion base for translating Tomsk realionyms; the researcher proposes theoretically substantiated ways of translating Tomsk realionyms and has created the Russian-German-English corpus of Tomsk realionyms. As a result, it was proved that in order to make an adequate and equivalent translation of the units belonging to the endemic segment, one has to take into consideration the structure of a composite, the genre of a text and derivational capabilities of languages.
