Abstract
This paper presents very interesting and creative research on relations between teachers" linguistic expressions in lessons and learners" learning motivations to figure out the effects of instructors on their students" learning motivations in a college educational environment. There are few researches like this in this field in the nation, and it has great implications for improved lesson environments in colleges and universities. The study analyzed the effects of instructors" attitudes based on linguistic expressions in lessons on learners" learning motivations and found that their negative linguistic attitude was an influential factor for learners" learning motivations. The study also analyzed connections and relations among the factors, testing its hypotheses.
