Abstract. The article presents a comparative analysis of the application of IoT and smart sensors for monitoring and controlling industrial technological processes. It delves into the pros and cons of traditional sensors versus intelligent sensors, which function within the framework of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Emphasis is placed on the significance of leveraging modern technologies like IoT to enhance production process efficiency, cut costs, and elevate quality control standards.
