Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of lean manufacturing. It is emphasized that, despite the huge number of pub-lications concerning this topic, the science lacks a holistic approach to the description of the philosophical and methodological foundations of this concept. Despite the fact that the term “lean manufacturing” was introduced in the XX century, this idea was constantly present in the historical development of the earth civilization. Nowa-days it becomes especially relevant and is considered in the trinity of the lean system, the elements of which are production management, the formation of appropriate thinking in the educational process and the manifes-tation of the attitude to social capital. All these aspects, according to the authors, can be combined in the syner-getic model of lean manufacturing, the structural components of which will be: the principle of le Chatalier de Brown, the theory of storage and processing of information in the broadest sense of the word, the avoidance of actions that lead to increased entropy. Meanwhile, any interaction between the elements of the system should increase its stability.
