Abstract

The article presents the results of optimizing soil tillage when growing winter crops in the conditions of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. It has been established that timely, high-quality and thorough soil preparation, ensuring a fine-lumpy, homogeneous structure in the early stages of preparation for winter sowing when using surface or shallow tillage, guarantees the emergence of seedlings even with minimal precipitation.
