Abstract

This study proposes a method for addressing the limitations of physical proximity in real-world walking environments and focusing on Metaverse-based solutions. The first phase of the research entailed a community analysis centered on locations in Daejeon, through which problematic areas were identified and defined. The second phase involved conducting a survey among users of the Metaverse environment to explore methods of enhancing proximity. Based on these findings, the study developed three approaches to improve proximity in a Metaverse-based environment. It emphasizes the importance of objective data analysis and precise problem definition, underscoring the necessity of developing and designing solutions within the Metaverse environment. Moreover, the study suggests that to enhance user experiences in the Metaverse, a thorough analysis of regional characteristics is essential, followed by the development of tailored Metaverse solutions.
