Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of environmental education and organizing events in natural science museums on the basis of scientific knowledge about mineral resources. The main trends and methods of ecological education of preschool and primary school age children are analyzed. The issues of symbolism of minerals and terrains in fairy tales are considered. The possibilities of using fairy tale therapy in the museum exposition are shown. Further the author discusses the possibility of the use of the legitimacy of introducing fairy tales about stones into the concept of sustainable development of environmental education and museology.
