Abstract
This article describes main features of the development of urban transport due to transformation of industrial society into information society. It declares that following the triune line, which contains scientific and technological progress, improving the quality of life, ecologization of the spheres of production and consumption, it is necessary to strengthen its integration with other city’s economy sectors, as well as a significant inter-sectoral redistribution of material resources and money in its favor.
