Abstract

The search for new effective methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language does not lose its relevance. The authors of the article offer case studies developed on the basis of national and regional material, taking into account the interests and needs of foreign students studying at a regional University. They are designed for international students on the topics of climate, food, clothing, and entertainment in the Sakha Republic. Each task is provided with a detailed cultural commentary on the culture and traditions of the Yakut people, as well as post-text creative tasks based on the principle of "dialogue of cultures". Finally, the author concludes that it is advisable to use cases based on regional material in teaching the Russian language, which contribute to the formation of communicative and linguistic-socio-cultural competencies of foreign students.
