Abstract

The analysis of modern psychological studies of victimhood has allowed to identify the following predictors of adolescents falling into the risk group of increased vulnerability to victimizing influences and predisposition to consolidation of victim behav-ior patterns: immaturity of the system of value orien-tations and self-worth factors, seeking external evaluation in determining the significance of their own personality, diffuse representations of their "self", the intensity of self-consciousness formation and, as a consequence, exposure to social influ-ence. Statistical data analysis was carried out by regression analysis of data based on the methods of studying victimization and propensity to deviant behavior. Multiple linear regression was calculated using a direct stepwise method. Predictors of vari-ous types of addictions belonging to the types of victim deformation of personality of adolescents were revealed. The conducted research proved that victim deformation of personality of adolescents, degree of formation of patterns of vic-tim behavior and existence of experience of repro-duction of the model of victim behavior in various vital spheres essentially increase the risk of various types of addictive behavior in adolescents as a pas-sive, maladaptive way of coping with difficult life situations corresponding to defensiveness, insecuri-ty, social passivity and learned helplessness that are common in victim adolescents.
