Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to identify lexical correspondences in the vocabulary of household items of the Yakut, Khakass and Altai languages. The study is novel in that it is the first in Yakut linguistics to examine the vocabulary of household items in comparison with the Altai and Khakass languages. As a result of the study, the researcher has identified three lexico-semantic groups: dishware and kitchenware, items of home decor, household appliances. A total of 41 units have been analysed, 16 correspondences have been found in the Yakut, Khakass and Altai languages. The largest number of correspondences has been noted in the group associated with dishware and kitchenware names.
