Abstract

The current article is devoted to the investigation of the legal public regulation of the Russian Federation citizenship especially in the context of current geopolitical conditions. The author focuses on the relevance and importance of revising the last approaches to regulating issues of Russian citizenship from the standpoint of the Administrative Law, gives thorough analysis into the new elements of the Federal Law “On Citizenship of the Russian Federation” No. 138-FL of April 28, 2023. Special attention is also paid to the consideration of sensitive issues of the Russian citizenship termination. Keeping in mind the analysis of reference sources, the author concluded that Russian citizenship is the most important part of the status of a person demonstrating the civic position of a person and commitment to the democratic course of the country development, thus, requiring further improvement of the mechanism of public law regulation.
