Abstract
The paper establishes the problem of lack of scientifically based solutions to ensure stability and quality of deep holes machining in conditions of hardness dispersion in large-sized blanks material. It was shown, that the solution to the problem could be the development of scientifically based recommendations for taking into account the inconstancy of machinability of large-sized forged blanks during stage of technological preparation of production, as well as for adaptive control of the deep drilling process.
