Abstract
The features of the world's best practices of SUW handling with the prevailing role of recycling, high-temperature pyrolysis, as well as mixed options are considered. Based on comparative and factor analysis, the SUW management model developed in Germany was chosen as optimal for implementation under Russian conditions. Its potential corresponds to achievement of the stated national goals by 2030, as well as the gradual transition of Rus-sian industry of waste handling to a circular economy.
