Abstract
The authors consider the implementation of the cognitive models “power - army” and “power of the army” in Russian linguoculture. These cognitive models are strictly differentiated according to the criteria of ‘peacetime’ and ‘war’. The cognitive model “power - army” is characteristic of peacetime description. The cognitive model “army power” has options: in describing peacetime, the option “power in the army - minister of defense” is used; in the descriptions of the period of war, revolutionary times and coups d'état, the cognitive model “the power of the army” is often used.
