Abstract
The article analyses socioeconomic trends that determine the objective necessity of transformation of the national security system and implementation of the best world practices in education of national security professionals. The main ways of development of human capital for the security and defence sector are determined. A conceptual scheme of education for the national security management specialists, which is based on the national legislation and takes into account the Euro-Atlantic security approaches, is proposed.
