Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the positive psychological capital of office workers at a large corporation affects job performance and to determine whether there is a sequential mediating effect of grit and job engagement in the relationship between positive psychological capital and job performance. To achieve this purpose, an online survey was conducted among 321 office workers employed in large corporations in South Korea. Structural equation modeling analysis was employed to validate the relationships between each variable. The findings of the analysis revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between positive psychological capital and job performance among the participants. Furthermore, both grit and job engagement exhibited significant mediating effects in the relationship between positive psychological capital and job performance. Notably, grit and job engagement demonstrated significant sequential mediating effects on the influence of positive psychological capital on job performance.
