Abstract
The article discusses the issues of improving traffic safety in the transport system of the city. The need to address this issue arose due to insufficient reduction of accidents at intersections after the introduction of traffic light regulation there. The solution to this problem is supposed to be done by identifying the negative sides of traffic light regulation and the corresponding effect on kinematics of vehicle traffic on the approaches and intersection area.
