Abstract

The paper aims to identify semantic peculiarities of international trade terms in the Russian and Chinese languages. The article presents a description of the Russian and Chinese terminology of the subject area “International Trade”, reveals semantic peculiarities of special vocabulary. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the Russian and Chinese lexical units in the sphere of international trade. The findings indicate that international trade terms in the Russian and Chinese languages have some common features (tendency for standardization, targeted nature, clichéd nature, monosemy, etc.).
