Abstract

The article deals with the functioning of the hybrid composites of the notion field “Education” in speech. The borrowed material accumulated in the language and powerful word-formative potencies of the German language give the ground for constant word-making, during which capacious informative lexical units are created basing on the principles of linguistic economy. The vast majority of hybrid words are not dictionary units, they are formed ad hoc and are considered occasionalisms designed to make the process of communication alive and emotional, which is achieved through the metaphorization and determinization of hybrid components, by using truncated stems, phrases and sentences as parts of hybrids, and also through the use of fashionable and short Anglicisms.
