Abstract

The purpose of this study were to examine the influence of intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy of university students who major in Taekwondo on exercise adherence and career maturity. In order to achieve the goal of this study, the final sample as survey subject using quota sampling method wascollected from 331 university students who major in Taekwondo located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Daegu. The study method was based on precedent researches and formed hypothesis model for this research. Intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy were included as exogenous variables. Exercise adherence and career maturity were included as endogenous variables. Measurement variables for theoretical variables were 14, and confirmatory analysis and reliability analysis were conducted as measurement tools. With the resulted data, I conducted analysis using SPSS 21.0 for Windows and LISREL(liner structural relationship; ver. 8.80).BR The results of this study were as following:BR First, exercise adherence index of university students who major in Taekwondo was high as intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy were high.BR Second, career maturity index of university students who major in Taekwondo was high as self-efficacy was high.
