Abstract

The purpose of this study were to examine the influence of sociality and exercise adherence of university students who participate in physical education class on resilience and fear of failure. To achieve the purpose of this research, the research subjects selected 342 university students who participated in physical education class in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Daegu using quota sampling method. Based on previous studies, a hypothetical model of the study was constructed. Sociality and exercise adherence were included as exogenous variables. Resilience and fear of failure were included as endogenous variables. Measurement variables for theoretical variables were 16, and confirmatory analysis and reliability analysis were conducted as measurement tools. With the resulted data, I conducted analysis using SPSS 21.0 for Windows and LISREL(liner structural relationship; ver. 8.80).BR The results obtained through this process were as follows.BR First, resilience increases as the sociality and exercise adherence of university students who participate in physical education class increases.BR Second, fear of failure decreases as the sociality, exercise adherence, and resilience of university students who participate in physical education class increase.
