Abstract

After analysing the relationship between elementary school students’ preference for Physical education classes, their relationship to Friendship, Exercise performance competence, and School life attitudes, the following conclusions were obtained. Firstly, the preferences for physical education classes were in the order of sixth-grade male students, sixth-grade female students, fifth-grade male students, and fifth-grade female students, with high overall preferences for physical education. Secondly, friendship relationships were found to be enjoyable for both male and female students in the fifth and sixth grades, and the degree of preference for physical education classes had a significant impact on friendship. Third, in terms of “effort factors” and “confidence factors,” male students were found to be higher than female students.
