Abstract

The study of the features of self-assessment of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation is of scientific interest, since for the effective performance of official duties, an employee must have a certain level of physical development, moral qualities, the ability to adapt, the ability to improve and self-development in the system of internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, as well as the ability to adequately assess their potential. The article analyzes and discusses the results of a study of the self-assessment of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and the correlation of the types of self-assessment of employees with their professional activities. The study was conducted on the basis of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia of the Smolensk region. The respondents were 80 employees from among the middle and senior commanding staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The article shows that the success of professional activity is conditioned by high adequate self-esteem and normal self-esteem. To improve the efficiency of the service, the basis of the actions of psychologists and heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia aimed at achieving compliance of employees with the tasks of activity should be based on the results of psychological diagnostics of self–assessment of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - the ATS).
