Abstract

The hotel sector for the first time in the history of formation faced the World Epidemiological Crisis. The consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection have worst affected the hotel sector throughout the world. To date, it seems impossible to predict the subsequent development of the hotel industry due to the ongoing outbreaks of the disease of the population, as a result of which the adoption of emergency measures and the introduction of strict conditions jeopardize the hotel sector. Moreover, today it is impossible to determine the timing of improving the epidemiological situation in Russia and in the World as a whole, the ways and possibilities of overcoming the crisis are not clear. Hotel enterprises, during the pandemic, suffered more than all sectors of the Russian economy, many business representatives liquidated their enterprises, many are on the verge of bankruptcy or are in danger of acquiring them by other representatives of the industry, raider seizure. The epidemic of coronavirus infection, otherwise COVID-19, negatively affected the development of not only the domestic hotel industry, but also the hotel industry throughout the world. The workload of collective accommodation facilities has fallen to a critical point, hotels and other accommodation facilities use directions atypical for the sector - the placement of medical personnel, staff of continuous cycle enterprises. From which it becomes clear that without global government support measures, the hotel sector will not be able to undergo a rehabilitation process and recover from serious financial losses. The work carried out an assessment of the demand for services in the field of domestic tourism, presented the dynamics of changes in the main performance indicators of hotel enterprises.
