Abstract

The article clarifies the formation of the creative activity of schoolchildren in the process of performing activities in music lessons, analyzes the methodological techniques of leading domestic scientists, musicians, teachers, considers the theoretical contribution of Ukrainian composers-pedagogues to the modern system of school musical and aesthetic education, who believed that schoolchildren should acquire knowledge through direct familiarization with artistic works, through live communication with music, as well as the education of schoolchildren's musical culture, which includes the artistic activity of students, the development of musical abilities, attitudes towards music, and the activation of creative expressions. The criteria and levels of formation of students' creative activity in the process of musical performance activity are determined.
