Abstract

The development of the economy of any state in modern conditions is impossible without its inclusion in the world market of goods and services. Membership of the Republic of Belarus in integration associations, accompanied by increasing commodity exchange and an increase in the number of imported goods, requires the development of measures appropriate to the changes that are taking place. Foreign trade regulation in the practice of foreign countries is closely interconnected with the implementation of the national economic policy regarding the creation, reform and application of non-tariff regulation measures. Nontariff instruments are not subject to quantification because their influence is not pronounced. Non-tariff regulatory methods are an opportunity for government bodies to establish a special procedure for the penetration of foreign goods and services into the national market. Product certification occupies an important place in the system of non-tariff methods of trade regulation, which finds its application in world practice. Of particular relevance is the study of the certification system of imported products both in the Republic of Belarus and within the EAEU and the identification of areas for its improvement.
