Abstract

The research is aimed at the definition of methodological approaches to the formation of value dominants of foreign students’ cross-cultural communication when teaching Russian as a foreign language. In the article the components of foreign students’ cross-cultural communication are specified; the value dominants of cross-cultural communication are identified. The scientific novelty consists in the theoretical reasoning of actualization of cross-cultural approach to the formation of cross-cultural communication and, in particular, value dominants of foreign students’ cross-cultural communication. This approach is considered to be the synthesis of socio-cultural, student-oriented and communicative approaches. As the result, the tasks focused on the intensification of the formation of value dominants of foreign students’ cross-cultural interaction in the polyculture university environment when learning Russian as a foreign language have been worked out.
