Abstract

The authors analyze the applicable laws, investigative and expert practice to bring forward amendments to the applicable laws and the bill of the Federal Law on Forensic Activities in the Russian Federation in terms of certifi cation of private forensic experts, validation and certifi cation of scientifi c and methodological support of forensic examination. The article proves the idea that one needs to reach a balance of powers by engaging an equal number of representatives of various state forensic institutions in this procedure. The paper also notes inexpediency of the establishment of requirements for methodological support of forensic examination through introduction of additional regulatory procedures.
