Abstract

The problem of formation of cadets' readiness for professional intercultural communication in the process of professional training is actualized by the current geopolitical situation. Increasing requirements for the quality of professional training of future specialists in a military institution suggests the need to clarify the personal aspect of the professional training of future officers. This, in turn, determines the importance of concretizing the content of the key concepts of the study, namely, “communication”, “intercultural communication”, “readiness for intercultural communication”, “formation of readiness for professional intercultural communication”. The authors created a block diagram reflecting the relationship of the identified concepts based on the study of scientific sources, methods of analysis, synthesis, abstraction, and modeling. The scientific novelty of the research is in identifying and substantiating the specific concept “formation of readiness for professional intercultural communication of cadets in training at a military university”, interpreted as a holistic pedagogical process based on the interconnected activities of the teacher and students and aimed to ensure the unity of the cognitive, praxeological and personal components of cadets' readiness for professional intercultural communication. The authors identified the structure, content and characteristics of the basic concepts of the study. The results of the study can clarify the theoretical foundations of the process of preparing future officers for professional intercultural communication and improve the practice of a military institute training.
