Abstract

The aim of the study is to substantiate the effectiveness of such a technology for organising students’ independent work as a video project in terms of foreign language teaching for professional communication purposes at a non-linguistic university. The paper analyses the stages of working with a video project and provides a methodological review of the competencies acquired as a result of students’ audiovisual project activities. Scientific novelty lies in developing a methodology for working on a video project as a part of foreign language teaching at a non-linguistic university. As a result, it has been proved that professionally oriented foreign language teaching at a non-linguistic university through the video project technology increases students’ motivation to work independently.
