Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the relation between organizational values and competitive advantage at the University of Science and Technology- Yemen. The researcher used the descriptive-analytical method and a questionnaire as a tool of the study. The study sample included (113) teaching staff members and their assistants, representing (47.3%) of the whole study population of the university. The results showed that the degree of practicing organizational values in all dimensions from the study sample point of view was high, with mean of (3.92) and a relative weight of (%78.4). The dimension of ''environment management values" came in the first place, while the dimension of " organization management values" came in the last place. The findings also showed that the level of achieving a competitive advantage in all of its dimensions was high with mean of (4.00) and relative weight of (%80.00). The dimension of "academic programs and courses" came in the first place, and "cost and financial & material resources" came in the last place. There was statistically significant relationship at the level of (0.05) between organizational values and competitive advantage with correlation coefficient of (0.76), which is regarded as a strong direct relationship.
