Abstract

The article examines the potential of blog technologies when teaching foreign-language speech to secondary school pupils. The research objective is to justify efficiency of blog technologies when teaching foreign-language speech to middle-grade pupils of secondary educational institutions. The author identifies the basic difficulties in teaching foreign-language speech, proposes ways to overcome them, analyses the role of a teacher when organizing learners’ oral communication. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that blog technologies are considered as one of efficient foreign language teaching techniques in informational educational environment of a secondary educational institution. Blog technologies are described. Ways of using blog technologies when forming foreign-language speech skills are considered. The conclusions are made that blog technologies are an efficient means to develop learners’ communicative competence, foreign-language discussion skills.
