Abstract
A method is considered that allows reliable modeling of non-reflecting boudaries of finite element model. The method is applied on the model of large arched-gravity concrete hydroelectric power plant. Competence of VNIIG experts was used in modeling non-reflecting boundaries, identification of dynamic loads and dynamic properties, such as damping and elastic properties of soil-structure system. Results are compared with other contemporary methods of modeling non-reflecting boundaries.
