Abstract

In the modern world an electron accelerator is a tool that provides the generation of an electron beam with specified parameters. A necessary description of any tool is its functioning parameters and output characteristics. In this work, the output characteristics of a pulsed electron accelerator (diode voltage and current pulse amplitudes, current and energy of the beam extracted into the atmosphere, and the spectrum of particle kinetic energies) are studied depending on the controlled charge voltage of the primary capacitive energy storage. An analysis was made of the energy transfer efficiency in the circuits of the accelerating voltage pulse generator according to the scheme high-voltage capacitive storage - commutator - pulse transformer - vacuum electron diode.
