Abstract
The article examines the problem of dialectic interaction of national and belonging to another nation with regard to the Kazakh musical and choreographic art. The paper identifies the specific and essential features of “national”, which are harmoniously balanced and leave no room for nationalism or cosmopolitism. The author analyses the features of the national character of the Kazakh people - the representatives of ancient nomadic civilization with rich history, traditions, culture, deep moral values. The Kazakh dance is interpreted as a manifestation of national life system stability.
