Abstract
The paper discusses the essence of patriotic education, determined by the state policy of the Russian Federation, the content of spiritual and moral education in the university. The article contains a review of the principles, methods, techniques, technologies for the formation of the spiritual culture of university students as one of the directions for the implementation of patriotic education in the classroom in literary disciplines.
