Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study, discuss and compare different theoretical and legal approaches to the explanation of the term "national security" in the context of the national security strategies of the states under discussion. This article uses comparative, analysis and synthesis methods of research. The subject of the research is the perception and application of the term "national security" in the context of the National Security Strategies of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia.
