Abstract
The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve effective state management of occupational safety and health at the regional level. The object of the study is the activities of executive labor authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the implementation of state occupational health and safety management. The purpose of the paper is to compare the effectiveness of the implementation by executive labor authorities of their powers and the quality of the program document to improve working conditions and safety. Methods of the research are data analysis, synthesis, comparisons, induction, and deduction. The results of the study: the assessment and analysis made it possible to identify problem areas in the activities of the executive labor authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the implementation of state occupational health and safety management (lack of experts to conduct state labor examination; low level of work to promote the introduction of advanced occupational health and safety management models at the enterprises of the constituent entity etc.).
