Abstract

The paper aims to identify the linguistic means and language techniques that allow the addresser to influence the addressee. The article clarifies the role of speech tactics during interrogation of believers in comrades’ courts. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the researcher examines linguistic peculiarities of the interaction “believer - public officer” during legal proceedings, in particular, in comrades’ courts. As a result, it is proved that public officers used a wide range of evaluative and expressive means to implement the manipulative strategy.
