Abstract

the article describes the main prospects for the development of the ports of the Northern Sea Route in the light of deeper industrial development and use of the coastal territories of the Arctic regions of the Russian Federation and the development of mineral deposits, primarily hydrocarbons, on the shelves of the Arctic Ocean seas, which requires, in turn, solving the problem of transportation of extracted raw materials and additional investments in the development of infrastructure not only ports, but also nearby territories and the creation of transport and logistics hubs there. The article also focuses on the strategic importance of the Northern Sea Route for our country. In addition, the problems hindering the development of the port infrastructure of the Northern Sea Basin of Russia and ways to solve them at the state level are discussed
