Abstract

This study was aimed at presenting an exercise program to relieve back pain and improve ideal body alignment in women with body imbalance and chronic back pain. For the criteria for selection of subjects, 16 women aged 20 to 39 years who had a deviation of 3 cm or more between both shoulder lines and both pelvic lines through a body shape test and scored 4 points or more on the NRS test were selected. All subjects performed whole body balance exercise for 12 weeks at a frequency of 3 times a week, and the results are as follows. 1. There was a statistically significant decrease in the deviation of both shoulder lines through the whole body balance exercise (p.001SUP***/SUP), pelvic line on both sides through the whole body balance exercise (p.001SUP***/SUP). 2. There was a statistically significant decrease in NRS through whole body balance exercise (p.001SUP***/SUP). 3. There is a statistically significant quantitative correlation between both shoulder lines and NRS (p.001SUP***/SUP, p.01SUP**/SUP), and there is also a statistically significant quantitative correlation between both pelvic lines and NRS (p.001SUP***/SUP, p.05SUP*/SUP). Therefore, whole body balance exercise is an effective exercise for body shape correction and chronic back pain relief for women with body imbalance and chronic back pain, and it is judged that there is a deep correlation between body shape correction and the level of perceived pain.
