Abstract
Authors validate the relevance of development for regulatory and other organizational measures, which ensure public safety in railway transport. Internet of Things and Big Data technologies are inspected in part of ensuring the security of transport facilities. Fragments of the Concept for the construction and development of narrow-band wireless communication networks “Internet of Things” in the territory of the Russian Federation are being studied. Directions for the use of modern information technologies are proposed. Authors summarize expert opinions on amendments to the legislation on transport security, on control and supervision in the field of transport security.
