Abstract
The principle of the management cycle subjected to modeling during the advanced socio-psychological training at the Orel Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V.V. Lukyanova. The training participants are represented by twenty-five heads of road safety propaganda units of the State Road Safety Inspectorate, the arithmetic average in service of which is two years. The analysis of basic management functions supported by the students professional experience and the interpretation of the components of the management cycle through the use of metaphorical associative maps is carried out. As part of low round tables, ideal modelling is organized that require constructive resolution of problem situations. The necessity of taking into account the specifics of the implementation of managerial functions by the heads of various departments of the State traffic inspectorate and the feasibility of developing a program of relevant training are justified.
